Happy Days Little Bookworms celebrate World Book Day

Celebrate World Book Day, children from the Happy Days Nursery headed to Poulton-Le Fylde library for some reading inspiration.

The young bookworms all donned their favourite book character fancy dress outfits including a Snowman and The Fairy Princess, but some of the boys couldn’t resist wearing their superhero outfit, the very popular Spiderman! They all sat entranced, listening to every word, as they heard a number of different stories being told expertly and enthusiastically by the librarians, Julia and Carolyn.

Catherine Rosenfield, Operations Manager at Happy Days Nursery said, “Reading is such an important part of any child’s learning and we want to encourage them to do as much as they can. If you make it fun and enjoyable, it’s more likely that you will encourage them to go on and take up reading books for life.”
