The Nursery is open all year round. The nursery building is located adjacent to Norbreck Primary School in Thornton, Cleveleys and we work in partnership with the Early Years team at Norbreck Primary School. Children experience learning opportunities that develop their knowledge, social skills and independence preparing them for school.
Children are taken to school for 8.50am where 2 members of staff will escort Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, to their classes and another 2 member of staff will walk Years 3,4, 5 and 6 around the school and in through the main entrance.
Norbreck Happy Days Holiday club is open during school holidays from 8am – 6 pm daily from Monday to Friday. We provide a wide range of activities indoors and outdoors for all children between the ages of 4 – 11 years such as quiz games, baking and sports. Children are split into ages 4 – 7 years and 8 – 11 years, this is so all children can take part in age appropriate activities.
A workshop activity such as dance, football and cheerleading are planned and carried out every week and on an additional day a trip is planned such as going to the beach, visiting Stanley Park, cinema etc. There is a small additional charge for these activities and outings. Breakfast and a small snack are provided daily but we do ask that you provide a packed lunch for your child’s dinner. If you need any help with ideas please do not hesitate to contact us as we have a qualified nutritionist who would be happy to help.
At Norbreck happy Days we run an after school club, each year group has its own key person who will go and collect your child from their classes at 3pm and escort them back to the after school club building ready to do the register.
A small snack is also provided where we offer a wide range of items such as wraps, crackers and French stick, we offer one of these options per day and alongside this we offer a selection of fruit, fresh milk and water daily.
An activity is planned daily for the children to take part in and infants have a weekly dance workshop that they are able to take part in, the day of this changes weekly so all children have the opportunity to take part. Juniors have a football team and cheerleading team. At the end of each term dance and cheerleading have the opportunity to give a performance to the rest of After School Club.
